The person in this role will establish and enhance processes to leverage cross-functional data sources to improve forecast and modeling accuracy. This role will help determine the direction the Endoscopy business takes in usage of internal and external data for analytics. Skills in cross-functional collaboration are imperative for this role as you will frequently work with our Finance, Economic Value & Strategy, Portfolio, Marketing, PMO, and R&D teams, among others. Boston Scientific’s Endoscopy division is dedicated to transforming the lives of patients by advancing the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of gastrointestinal and pulmonary conditions with innovative, minimally invasive devices.Your Responsibilities Will Include Leverage existing internal data to develop dashboards that will help inform stakeholders of appropriate baselines and thresholds for modeling. Work with cross-functional data owners to validate and enhance data integrity. Identify external data sources that can be extracted and married with internal information to enhance context of data used. Build data structure and tables that facilitate efficient usage of various sources in reporting. Identify primary keys to connect data. Establish process and metrics to measure model accuracy over time. Sensitivity analysis of assumptions and impact on accuracy. Align cross-functionally to manage addition of new programs into the data set as they are launched. Continuously improve and refine tools based on stakeholder feedback. Work to bring official approved financial models into centralized data base to promote organizational transparency and efficiency in analytics. Organic growth of role as needed to support internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in data or business subject matter 3+ years of experience in data analytics, strategy, marketing, PMO, or R&D Analytical/data-driven mindset, attention to detail, desire to learn Skills in Excel, SQL, Tableau Ability to travel up to 5% Comfortable in cross-functional environment; understanding of internal stakeholder perspectives Ability to balance multiple priorities and adhere to tight timelines; adaptive to dynamic environment Creative problem-solver Collaborative, team oriented, continuous improvement motivated Preferred Qualifications Masters in data/business analytics Experience with Python, VBA, and/or other coding/machine learning languages Experience influencing without authority Knowledge of: R&D, marketing, and strategic programs and processes Requisition ID: 587616As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
