Job Title: DishwasherLocation: Plainsboro, NJEmployment Type: Part Time Salary Compensation: $17/hourDepartment: Dining ServicesSummary: The Dishwasher performs a variety of food service functions in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food services, facilities, and equipment. S(he) is responsible for the removal of all garbage, leaving machinery empty, clean and dry and floors clean after each meal. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with Maplewood Senior Living philosophyEssential Functions:Follows the posted work schedule and arrives on time and in appropriate work attire. Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other assigned area in a sanitary mannerResponsible for the proper washing of china, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment including machine rinse pressure and water temperaturesEstablish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers and residentsMust be familiar with food handling procedures and regulationsMust know how to operate kitchen appliances such as the dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker and ice machineMay be required to help with food preparation, inventory, maintenance as well food deliveries and shelve stockCompliance & SafetyFollows emergency proceduresUnderstands the safety practices and procedures. Reports on the job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occursCommunicationCommunicates effectively with supervisor and other staffAdvise supervisor and appropriate manager in any changes in physical and mental health of resident immediately. Maintains acceptable attendance record, notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with personnel policies and follows work scheduleEducation/Experience/Licensure/CertificationSome kitchen experience is desirableBasic knife skills requiredMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
