OmniOn Power is seeking a Document Control Manager to lead global efforts around document standardization, compliance and management. This individual will manage document control system across our global sites related to all business processes, and will serve as the primary liaison between IT, internal teams, and any third-party service providers. This role reports into the Quality organization and is well-suited for individuals with strong document creation, updating, processing, and archiving using industry standard software. It is a hands-on individual contributor role with global scope, influencing cross-functional teams and working extensively with IT without direct reports. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable collaborating with functional business process owners.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with IT team to put together a robust global document control process with new or existing systemsImplement a standardized document control processHave a clear understanding of the document control process and understand the use in a document-controlled environmentManaging incoming document control changes, reviews, ensure documents are organized and easy to find, and up to dateMust be meticulous and capable of producing accurate documentationExperience converting informal communications and documentation into an articulate, concise finished product for publication easy to understand by the end userAbility to maintain a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environmentMaintain a record of all documentation, including procedures, process flows, system guides, and other reference materials in the document management system to track and verify control versionsCoordinate the review and approval process for new and modified documentationIdentify deficiencies in required proceduresMaintain retention and archivingMonitor document securityStandardize documents globally with consistent naming conventionsOrganize and put together procedures for document control training programs for employees and train as neededMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred (Business, or related field).5+ years’ experience in document control, data management, quality management systems, or IT support.Working knowledge of document control systems within automotive, electronics, aerospace, or other regulated industries.Strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.Comfortable working with business process flows, computer system workflows, supplier/ customer documentation, and internal databases.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with third-party certification bodies like NQA, RBA, TIAExperience in supply chain processes, especially with electronics, automotive or aerospace manufacturing.Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (electronics, automotive, aerospace, etc.).Tools We UseWindchill PLM, SAP, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and VisioWhy Join OmniOn Power?OmniOn Power is a global leader in mission-critical power systems.
