The Assembler, under the supervision of the Assembly Lead, is responsible for assembling sign components, metal frames, and hardware according to shop drawings, specifications, and work orders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Essential Functions / Job ResponsibilitiesConnect parts into more complex components. Will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.Read and understand instructions represented in manuals, blueprints, drawings, schematics etc.Follow established proceduresCollect all material and equipment needed to begin the processTake precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of componentsSelect or modify components according to measurements and specificationsAlign material and put together parts to build more complex unitsCheck output to ensure highest qualityReport on issues, malfunction, or defective partsOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications / SkillsAssemble metal frames, sign structures, hardware, and related componentsRead and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and work ordersUse hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment safely and effectivelyEnsure all assemblies are completed accurately and meet company quality standardsInspect completed work for fit, finish, alignment, and functionalityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesWork collaboratively with production team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlinesPerform additional duties as assignedExperience (type And Amount Of Experience Required)Previous manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, metalwork, or construction experience preferred, but not requiredPassion for fabrication and hands-on production workBasic knowledge and experience using hand tools and power toolsMechanical aptitude and ability to work with metal materials and componentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and work ordersAbility to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlinesKnowledge of workplace safety practices and proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a team0–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication experience preferredPrior experience in sign manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, or warehouse production is a plusFamiliarity with basic shop tools and safe work practices preferredWillingness to learn and follow production processes requiredRequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the workdayAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. when necessaryAbility to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motionsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesRoyston Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Vets/DisabilitySRI will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
