Finishing Operator- 2nd shift

We're seeking a reliable and detailoriented Finishing Operator to join our 2nd shift team. This role primarily involves packing and general production support, with the possibility of performing tabling duties using the Table Inspection Machine. Pay: $19.75/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm Assignment Length: Through midApril with strong potential for extension or conversion Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate finishing equipment including table top, editing, and slitting machines to ensure products meet quality and accuracy standards. Operate packing equipment such as box formers, auto baggers, flow wrappers, heatshrink tools, and scanning/programming devices. Adjust machine controls-computerized or manual-related to speed, tension, footage, web tracking, blade settings, and measurements. Conduct routine product inspections, flag defects, and remove nonconforming material. Submit samples to the quality team and collaborate crossfunctionally to maintain product standards. Proactively communicate potential quality issues to management. Perform safe material handling, including retrieving and relocating materials, bins, boxes, and skids. Prepare products for shipment: trimming, pressing rolls, applying flanges, labeling, bagging, and packing. Monitor supply levels and notify management when inventory (boxes, cores, bags, etc.) is low. Maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory documentation. Read and follow engineering drawings, product specifications, and SOPs. Perform routine operatorlevel maintenance and cleaning. Crosstrain within the department and assist in training other operators. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, security, and workplace policies. Participate in safety programs, audits, and trainings. Perform additional duties as needed based on business demands. Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, especially with equipment operation, product inspection, or material handling. Experience with slitting or converting machines is beneficial. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read technical drawings. Basic proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices (tape measure, ruler). Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. IND8
