Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance, ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently. The Maintenance Mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment while providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoot issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems and HVAC units, ensuring optimal performance.
Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely to access work areas.
Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
Execute welding tasks, including stick welding, to repair or fabricate components as needed.
Read and interpret schematics to identify problems and implement solutions effectively.
Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations while performing field service tasks in high voltage and low voltage environments.
Qualifications
Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to analyze complex systems effectively.
Experience with electrical components, including high voltage systems, is preferred.
Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and their maintenance requirements is advantageous.
Ability to read schematics and technical documents accurately.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with team members and clients.
Military experience related to industrial mechanics or electrical work is a plus.
Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently.
Proficiency in English for effective communication within the workplace
Responsibilities:
Recurring Monthly PM Tasks
Maintain coolant systems (machining centers, vertical saws, ultrasonic cleaner).
Perform PM on Cincinnati brake (fluid checks, ram drift inspection).
Conduct battery maintenance on scrubbers, aerial lifts, and forklifts (fluid checks, corrosion cleaning, reporting issues).
Service and clean mobile equipment (walk-behind/riding scrubbers, aerial lifts).
Clean and maintain parts washer, replacing fluids as needed.
Change blasting media, clean sandblaster, and properly dispose of used media.
Perform laser maintenance (water changes as required).
As-Needed Tasks
Painting (floors, rails, other areas).
General shop organization and cleanup.
Toolbox and supply inventory, restocking as needed.
Requirements
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform hands-on equipment cleaning and fluid changes.
Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around industrial equipment.
2.5–3.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday (flexible start times).
Competitive part-time hourly wage, based on experience.
