Shoreside Tankerman (Lake Charles / Beaumont / Port Arthur)

Tankerman Under U.S. Coast Guard regulations, tankermen serve as the person-in-charge of the vessel for cargo transfer operations involving tank barges. Transfers involve all types of liquids including oils and refined products, chemicals, and liquified gases. Tankermen are fully responsible for the transfer include vessel mooring, pre-transfer inspection, opening and closing valves to safely move the cargo on or off the barge, completing required paperwork, and communicating with dock facility personnel.
