Mount Mitchell Café & Eatery is hiring FOH Team Members with the potential to grow with us as we forge into the future. We are at Mount Mitchell State Park and are dedicated to offering an elevated hospitality experience.
Please note: Our location requires travel from Ox Creek Road via the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mount Mitchell State Park. This commute is approximately one hour each way (about two hours round trip). Reliable transportation is required. For team members who need assistance, we may offer transportation with a designated meet-up location in Weaverville.

The Park Concessions Attendant position assists in setting the example and ensuring the highest level of guest experience in concessions.

Main Attraction
Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a very fast-paced environment
Serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers in a very fast-paced environment
Proper cash handling including, greet and service guests at the registers, taking orders, and accepting payments, handling cash, debit and credit cards
Replenish foods at serving / concession
Prepare bills for food, using cash registers, calculators, or POS; and accept payment and make change
Inventory control: Assess inventory and assist in preparing product orders as necessary
Stock and restock items as necessary
Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations
Required Skills
Excellent guest service skills to enhance the experience and meet the needs of
guests with a positive attitude
Multi-task skills and self-motivation required
Communicate clearly and congenially with patrons
Possesses excellent cash handling skills and knowledge of daily sales reporting
Adherence to a uniform policy and grooming standards -must present a neat, professional appearance
Qualified candidate will be a mature, responsible, dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Must satisfactorily fulfill all departmental training requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing, stooping, and bending for long periods of time
Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and special events
Highly skilled at POS and Electronic Scheduling Tools. Must be Technology Savvy
Experience and Education:
High School diploma or GED Preferred
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable Transportation
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting 55+ lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc.) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able to carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware, and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant equipment and tools.
Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Compensations: $15 + Tips
