Residential Coordinator
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Residential Coordinator. To coordinate and provide guidance, counseling, and encouragement to clients as they transition from the mental health system to a more independent environment. Assist the Manager with daily site operations and supervise direct service staff. Implement and document client progress in accordance with individualized rehabilitation service plans.Other Responsibilities but not all-inclusive: • Provide support and ensure the delivery of appropriate services, reviewing client accessibility to these services.• Reinforce implementation of the individual rehabilitation service plans; incorporate modifications and updates, as directed.• Responsible for the operation of the site during assigned shift and/or in the absence of the Manager.• Participate in the resolution of crisis situations; identify key individuals or resources that can provide direct support and/or immediate intervention during a crisis.Qualifications:• Associate's degree in the Social Sciences, healthcare, or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the MH/MR field; or any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.• Good communication skills, both oral and written.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Some knowledge of mental health systems and supports.• Prior supervisory experience is helpful.Scope:• Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend, which may include direct intervention with residents.• Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.• May be required to possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (contingent upon facility location and client and program needs).• May require crisis intervention in emergencies.• May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.Horizon House offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, nine paid holidays, generous paid time off, a retirement savings plan, a tax-sheltered annuity, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.
