This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program.What You’ll Get To DoThe Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Safety Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifactsWork with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs designHelp develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the modelContribute to system requirements development, management, and analysisDevelop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systemsBasic QualificationsMust be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsBachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree2 years' experience with C/C++, Java, object oriented design, or similar experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience using MIL-STD-882E or similar processes for hardware and /or software design developmentExecute developed processes in Engineering and Manufacturing Development PhaseSoftware development or coding experienceExperience using DO-178 for design developmentExperience developing in an Agile environmentModel Based Systems Engineering experienceExperience developing missile flight systems softwareAssociate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety Professional (CSP) CertificateWeapon System experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience) Position BenefitsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage  401k  Educational Assistance  Life Insurance  Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions   Paid Time Off   Health & Wellness Resources   Employee Discounts  https://www.northropgrumman.com/who-we-are/total-rewards-benefits/This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.#SentinelsystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
