This team is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and staff while delivering exceptional clinical services.Position OverviewThe Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood draws, specimen collection, and supporting accurate laboratory testing in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create a calm and positive patient experience.Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with accuracy and professionalism Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing Collect additional specimens, including urine and swabs as needed Follow infection control, safety, and specimen handling protocols Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to patients Monitor patients during and after collection and respond appropriately to adverse reactions Document specimen collection and patient information in the EHR system Process lab requisitions and ensure specimens match physician orders Communicate with providers and clinical staff regarding specimen issues or abnormal results Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area Support clinic operations and patient flow as neededQualifications High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy training and hands-on experience required Phlebotomy certification preferred BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hirePreferred Experience 1+ year of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient or clinic setting Experience working with internal medicine or infectious disease patients preferred Strong understanding of specimen handling and laboratory proceduresSkills Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong patient communication and customer service abilities Ability to thrive in a fast paced clinical environment Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills,
