Development Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an ADAS - Characteristics Development Engineer for 12 month Contract job with a client in San Jose, CA 95134 (Onsite). Ideally, looking for applicants with a solid background in the Automobile industry is a must. Rate Range: $80/hour to $90/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Overview Define, test, and approve ADAS system characteristics with a focus on assisted driving, parking, and safety. This role involves vehicle testing, KPI evaluation, and close collaboration with global engineering teams. Responsibilities Define and maintain ADAS characteristics and KPIs for the US market Plan and execute on-road and proving-ground test drives Perform subjective and objective ADAS performance evaluations Set up and manage vehicle measurement and data acquisition systems Analyze results and report status to engineering leadership Required Skills Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of vehicle architecture, networks, and ADAS systems Hands‑on experience with ADAS hardware and software Experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe) Familiarity with requirements tools (DOORS, Codebeamer, or similar) Valid US driver’s license (clean record) Preferred Experience with dGPS and IMU.
