Duties of the position include but are not limited to Order and maintain laboratory supplies. Assist with lab organization Prepare basic reagents Perform retinal histology and microscopy experiments Trace Neurons Assist with electrode array experiments Assist with preparing all research related protocols Assist with routine correspondence Maintain and organize research datasets Perform basic literature searches Salary Range: $25.75 - $30.17 Hourly Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Required Ability to write concisely and clearly, edit, and proofread to ensure grammatically correct and factual correspondence Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to utilize an IBM PC and Mac Ability to take initiative and work on a self-directed basis with limited supervision Ability to interact and communicate effectively Ability to prioritize activities with conflicting deadlines Strong organizational skills Preferred Skill in scientific writing, literature review Skills in data and database management Previous experience working in a research laboratory As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
