Automation Specialist (Ansible / Python + VMware)Overview We need Automation Specialists with strong Ansible and Python skills who can overlay VMware/VCF environments to deliver infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and workflow automation. This role may work across multiple client engagements part-time (8–10 hrs per project) as automation needs arise.ResponsibilitiesDevelop Ansible playbooks for VMware infrastructure configuration and day-2 operationsWrite Python scripts for Aria Automation extensibility (ABX actions), REST API integrations, and operational workflowsBuild infrastructure-as-code patterns on top of VCF/VMware environmentsCollaborate with VMware infrastructure engineers to automate deployment pipelinesSupport knowledge transfer and documentation of automation frameworksRequired Skills10+ years data center or infrastructure automation experienceAnsible (playbook development, roles, collections)Python (scripting, REST API integration, automation frameworks)Familiarity with VMware/VCF environmentsInfrastructure-as-code (IaC) mindsetBonusAria Automation / ABX extensibility experienceVMware certificationsExperience with vRealize Orchestrator or similar workflow toolsCI/CD pipeline integration (GitLab, Jenkins)Work Details100% remote | Central or Eastern time zone preferred~40 hrs/week across 1–2 end clients | Through EOY, extendableUS Citizen required | 10-year background checkMust not be active on another Broadcom credit engagementNo CA or NY residents unless LLC registered in another state
