Material Handler - 2nd Shift

THE ROLE: Material HandlerLOCATION: Waukesha, WIREPORTS TO: Manufacturing SupervisorPOSITION TYPE: Full-time, non-exemptHOURS: 3pm – 1am, Monday - ThursdayOur OpportunityThe Material Handler loads and unloads material within a warehouse or production facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from production areas. The Material Handler has knowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Responsibilities As a Material HandlerRead work order or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved, or loaded, or unloaded on or near the production cells.Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.Attach identifying tags to materials, labels or mark information on materials.Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands bundles together.Secure lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.Other duties may be assigned.QualificationsOne-year related experience and/or training.Basic computer skills as well as the ability to learn and operate in an ERP environment is required.Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead hoist/crane.Physical requirements include: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds when turning parts over.Employee must wear OSHA approved safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protectionStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Our CompanyHeadquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Wildeck is a subsidiary of Holden Industries, and is a 100% employee-owned company.
