Overview Network Security Engineer
Spring, TX. Full time opportunity. 20% remote. Must live in the Houston area.
Some network engineers maintain infrastructure. Others actively defend it. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of security at the network level and understands that protection isn't passive. It's designed, tested, tuned, and constantly improved.
In this full time role, you'll research, evaluate, and implement network security solutions that protect critical infrastructure. You'll partner closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and outside vendors to design and deploy secure, scalable network architectures.
You'll be hands on with load balancers, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. You'll monitor network activity, analyze logs, track vulnerabilities, and ensure threats are identified and addressed quickly. You'll also help shape policies and procedures that keep the organization aligned with security standards.
Clear communication and technical writing matter. So does the ability to explain complex security concepts to different audiences. This role requires someone who can operate independently while still collaborating across teams.
At iSphere, we value long term fit. This isn't about filling a seat. It's about finding someone who takes pride in protecting infrastructure and strengthening network security over time.
If you're in the Houston area and ready for a full time opportunity where your work directly impacts security posture, let's connect.
