School-Based Physical Therapist - Tacoma, WA

An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to support K-12 students during the 2026-2027 school year in a full-time capacity (37.5 hours per week). This role is based in Tacoma, WA, within a school setting and involves providing services across various locations district-wide.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of 25-30 students spanning kindergarten through 12th grade.Deliver onsite physical therapy services tailored to the individualized needs of students.Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other professionals to support student development and progress.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).Qualifications and Experience:Valid Washington State Physical Therapist License or willingness to obtain it.Ability to complete fingerprinting through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) or willingness to undergo the fingerprinting process.Experience working with school-aged children preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.Commitment to providing high-quality, onsite physical therapy services (virtual candidates will not be considered).Location:Tacoma, WA, requiring onsite presence at various district schools.This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the physical well-being and educational success of students in an engaging school environment.
