Job DescriptionCrane Operator - Structural Steel (On-Site)A growing structural steel fabricator and erector is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to support fabrication yard and erection operations. This role is ideal for a safety-focused operator with experience handling structural steel, rigging coordination, and working closely with field crews.As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely lifting, moving, and placing structural steel members in both shop and field environments while maintaining productivity and jobsite safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate mobile or overhead cranes to move structural steel safely and efficientlyCoordinate with riggers, ironworkers, and field crews during picks and placementPerform pre-operation inspections and routine equipment checksFollow lift plans, load charts, and site-specific safety requirementsAssist with material handling in fabrication yard and jobsite environmentsMaintain clear communication with ground personnel and signalersEnsure compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsSupport erection sequencing and jobsite logisticsQualificationsExperience operating cranes in structural steel or construction environmentsValid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent preferred)Strong understanding of load charts, rigging, and lift planningAbility to work in fast-paced shop and field environmentsCommitment to safety, communication, and teamworkPreferredExperience supporting steel erection projectsFamiliarity with rigging practices and signalingCDL or ability to assist with equipment transportCompensation & Benefits$100k to $140k (DOE)Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO)If you are a skilled crane operator with structural steel experience looking for consistent work and strong earning potential, we'd like to hear from you.Send your resume to: justin.knitt@gogpac.com
