JOB DESCRIPTION: WAREHOUSE & CHILD NUTRITION DELIVERY DRIVERSALARY SCHEDULE: SCHEDULE XIIIDEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSEFLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPTSAFETY-SENSITIVE: YESSummaryThis position is responsible for gathering and delivering warehouse materials including paper goods, custodial products, supplies, and equipment to District sites. During the school year the employee also supports Child Nutrition operations by transporting and delivering food, beverages, and related supplies to Mid-Del school sites in accordance with food safety and temperature control standards. The position may include picking up surplus materials and transferring items between sites and the warehouse.Qualification RequirementsAbility to perform each essential dutyOne to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andValid Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable drivingAbility to meet District and state requirements for operating DistrictKnowledge of or willingness to learn basic food safety and handlingEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform warehouse operations and become familiar with all DistrictSafely operate hand-trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and deliveryReceive, pull, stage, and deliver warehouse and Child NutritionTransport food, beverages, and related Child Nutrition supplies while maintaining required food safety and temperatureFollow all federal, state, and local food safety regulations, including proper sanitation and handlingLoad, secure, and unload materials and food products to prevent damage orAssist in inventory control, including rotation of stock and verification of deliveryMaintain delivery logs, temperature records (as required), mileage documentation, and report vehicle maintenancePerform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor orLanguage And Grammar SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
