First Shift SupervisorThis is a working supervisor position overseeing the Safety, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Inventory of the Cat Litter operation. This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnloads raw materials from railcars as neededCreate and plan a production scheduleSupervises 1st shift Cat Litter teamImplement / suggest process improvementsPlanning and staging all required supplies and raw materials on time as to not slow productionMust maintain a safe industrial work culture, able to enforce all applicable safety requirementsHeld accountable for the well-being of team members and the care of equipmentImplementation of all associated Operational Excellence goals with the packaging areaEnsure highest level of product qualityEnsuring inventory process is followed and Kanban maintainedOther duties as assignedOE/LeanOperational level understanding of the OE principles and toolsOpen to change and helps to encourage and advance continuous improvementGenerates ideas to improve processes and safetyOther Duties & ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform normal work activities, sight, hearing and walkingCan effectively take on responsibilities of supervisor as required (vacations, absences, and emergencies)Ability to work with minimal guidance/supervisionAbility to climb ladders and stairsAbility to lift at least 50 lbsMechanically inclinedSelf-MotivatedComputer skills such as outlook and Microsoft Excel and WordContinuous education as deemed necessary by the companyQualificationsThe requirements listed in the sections that follow are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform the duties of this job.
