Teacher ROTC (26-27)

Certified by the Marine Corps JROTC Director as a Marine Corps JROTC instructor. Must maintain a valid (state) Marine Corps JROTC Teaching Permit (if required by the state) Service Requirement. Have active duty or reserve service in the United States Marine Corps, as a Commissioned Officer in grades W-1 through O-6. Category of Service Requirement. Category of service falls into one of the following four categories of service:Category I - Officers and Senior enlisted Marines who have 18 or more years of active duty service.Category II - Reserve Officers and senior enlisted Marines who have completed 20 years of honorable service are eligible to apply to become JROTC instructors.Category III - Marines in pay grade E5 (Sergeants) and above who have separated with 8 plus years of active service and who have no more than 5 years since separation for active duty.Category IV - Active Reserve Marines in pay grade E5 (Sergeants) and above.
