This isn't a pure \"build from scratch\" role. You'll be maintaining and improving a live equities back office system that a trading desk depends on every day.Role and responsibilitiesHandle daily support and resolve escalated tickets, working closely with business and technical teams to fix issues fastWrite, debug, and refactor code in.NET to improve and stabilize the existing systemSupport and maintain scripts in Perl, Unix Shell, and Windows batch for scheduled jobs and automationFollow formal Incident, Change, and Problem Management processesParticipate in requirements discussions and help shape solutions with the teamBuild new features or small applications when the roadmap calls for itKeep documentation up to date as the system evolvesQualifications5-9 years of experience, ideally in Application Support with real hands-on development, not just monitoringStrong.NET and SQL skillsExperience with Perl, Unix Shell, or Windows batch scriptingComfort working in a ticket-driven, process-heavy environment (Incident/Change/Problem Management)Prior exposure to equities or trading back office systems is a big plusGood communication skills.
