Junior Software Developer

Location: Houston, TX Job Type: Internship ( 2 months paid internship and potential job offer after completion of the Internship) Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to join our development team. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Collaborate with senior developers and other team members to define project requirements and specifications. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure software quality. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript). Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Skills: Experience with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular) is a plus. Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is a plus. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
