The successful candidate will be a strategic and sophisticated energy attorney, serving as a trusted legal advisor to C-Level and senior management on power strategy and transactions. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's global data center and cloud infrastructure offerings, leading complex commercial power and related infrastructure transactions, with a particular emphasis on power procurement. The Deputy General Counsel will be responsible for structuring and executing high-impact transactions, negotiating power agreements, and partnering with internal cross-functional teams to drive strategic energy and capacity initiatives. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with at least 15 years of experience in complex cloud infrastructure, data centers, and large-scale commercial energy transactions. Expertise in negotiating power purchase agreements, knowledge of state and federal statutes affecting the power sector, and experience with regulatory frameworks in international markets are essential. The role also requires a strong background in energy, renewables, and electric infrastructure development, as well as experience with emerging technologies and their regulatory matters.
