Certified Safety Coordinator

Position Summary The Certified Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, TCIA standards, and company policies. This role plays a critical part in protecting employees, reducing risk, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all job sites. The ideal candidate must hold a TCIA safety certification, specifically the TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) or equivalent TCIA-recognized safety certification. Required Qualifications Active TCIA safety certification (Certified Treecare Safety Professional – CTSP or equivalent TCIA safety certification). Minimum 3–5 years of safety management experience, preferably in tree care, arboriculture, construction, or field-based operations. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation. Excellent communication and training skills. Ability to travel to multiple job sites as required. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing or managing safety programs in TCIA-accredited companies. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and claims management. Experience using safety management software or digital reporting tools. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Capable of walking job sites, climbing uneven terrain, and observing active operations. May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
