The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Ivywood Academy and work closely with them to create a JOYOUS experience for families, students, and teachers. The Assistant Director will have office administrative duties, substitute in classrooms as needed, help manage 8-16 teachers, OPEN OR CLOSE the center each day, and help with the overall needs of the day- to-day operations of the program. This position also requires a lot of movement, energy/enthusiasm, organization, excellent communication skills, multitasking, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS AN ASSISTANT DIRECTORAdministrative ResponsibilitiesMaintain Student Enrollment through ProCare, Student files, Managing Leads, and Scheduling and Conducting ToursConduct State licensing requirements compliance and reportingOversee New Hire Intake Process and Employee Files as neededManage Accounts Receivable through ProCareAnswer Ivywood Phone and emailSupervise the Front Door/ReceptionHelp with Cleaning/OrganizingThere will be additional administrative responsibilities. Classroom ResponsibilitiesSubstitute in Classroom as NeededProvide Breaks for TeachersHelp with Students who are Struggling – Provide Them a BreakVisit Classes to Ensure the Ivywood Way is Being Implemented ConsistentlyChanging Diapers & Helping with Potty Training as Needed when Substituting. Team Management ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Director to provide Servant Style Leadership to Our Team of TeachersCreate a Supportive & Positive Environment for TeachersBe an Exemplary Role ModelUnderstand Teacher's Responsibilities & Ensure Safety is Being Carried OutMonday through Friday with a 1-hour break, exact hourly scheduling will be discussed prior to hire.
