Our mission is to be the global benchmark for trust and transparency in digital media quality.The RoleIAS is seeking a strategic, high-impact VP, Global Communications to lead our global external communications strategy—driving brand authority, share of voice, and executive visibility across key markets.This leader will own PR, media relations, executive positioning, social media, industry presence, and awards strategy, ensuring IAS is consistently positioned as a category leader in ad tech and media quality.The ideal candidate brings deep experience in B2B and/or ad tech, a strong global mindset, and a proven ability to translate business priorities into high-impact external narratives that drive measurable outcomes.Global Communications Strategy & ExecutionDefine and lead a global external communications strategy across Americas, EMEA, and APAC aligned to business priorities and growth goalsDevelop and evolve IAS’s corporate narrative and positioning to strengthen market leadership and differentiationDrive share of voice, tier-1 media coverage, and industry influencePublic Relations & MediaLead global PR strategy and execution, building strong relationships with top-tier business, trade, and technology mediaOversee proactive and reactive media engagement, including product launches, announcements, and issues managementElevate IAS’s reputation with key journalists, analysts, and industry influencersExecutive Visibility & Thought LeadershipPartner closely with the CEO and C-suite to build high-impact executive visibility programsSecure and manage top-tier speaking opportunities, panels, and keynote engagements at major industry eventsPosition executives as category-defining thought leaders across media and industry platformsEnsure consistency in messaging while enabling regional nuance and market relevanceSocial Media & Digital PresenceOwn and evolve IAS’s global social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and other relevant platformsEnsure social channels amplify PR, thought leadership, customer-centric product value and key company momentsDrive measurable growth in engagement, reach, and brand perceptionAwards & Industry RecognitionBuild and execute a global awards strategy to secure recognition across key industry programsLeverage awards and rankings to reinforce IAS’s leadership and credibilityAgency ManagementProactively manage and optimize a network of multiple PR/communications agencies across regions (US, EMEA, APAC)Set clear KPIs and performance standards for agency partners and hold accountableTeam Leadership & OperationsBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing global communications team across US, UK, and SingaporeEstablish clear goals, metrics, and reporting to demonstrate impact on brand and business outcomesManage communications budgets and allocate resources effectivelyInnovation & Market InsightStay ahead of media, marketing, and ad tech trends to identify new opportunities for visibility and differentiationBring forward bold, creative ideas that generate “reputation-defining moments” for IASWhat You’ll Need10+ years of experience in external communications, PR, or corporate communications, with at least 3+ years leading global teamsProven success in B2B and/or ad tech, media, or SaaS environmentsStrong track record of delivering high-impact PR campaigns, executive visibility, and thought leadership programsDeep relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, and industry influencersDemonstrated experience securing and managing high-profile speaking engagements and industry presenceExpertise in social media strategy and brand amplification across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and emerging platformsExperience managing multiple global agencies (up to 5) across regions with strong operational rigorExceptional storytelling and messaging Demonstrated executive presence and ability to develop Csuite voicesAbility to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teamsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as neededIAS Pay TransparencyThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location, and any additional locations are listed below. Our pay ranges are based on the work location. As part of IAS compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance (medical, dental, vision) as well as PPO, HSA and FSA options and 401k with employer matching contributions. All full-time employee roles include competitive compensation and are eligible for an annual bonus and/or other incentive plans.
