Executive AssistantThe Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Department under the supervision of the City Manager.Examples of DutiesPerforms a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the City Manager such as answering phones, typing, research, and filingSchedules, maintains, and updates appointments and/or calendar(s) on a daily basisMaintains confidentiality when exposed to sensitive material and informationKnowledge of the City's facilities, functions, and programs so appropriate information can be relayed accurately via phone, email, written correspondence, or in personAssists with the publication of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers and related communications relevant to a particular program or special event as neededEstablishes a positive working relationship with all City departmentsPerforms a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the Executive Department such as answering phones, typing, research, and filingWorks effectively with outside agencies and responds to requests as appropriateWorks effectively with the City Commissioners; responds to their inquiries and requests as needed; offers administrative support as neededAssists the City Clerk, as needed, with the execution of documents and contracts approved by the City CommissionTypical QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferredCertified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferredThree-to-five (3-5) years of administrative experience in an office environment
