A global leader in business and technology servicesJob Title: Regulatory Environmental AnalystLocation: Remote – California Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMEmployment Type: Contract / Contingent WorkforcePay: $45/hr - $48/hr on W2(Inclusive all)Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Compliance & Regulatory SupportSupport the Wetlands Protection Program through technical review and quality control of consultant-prepared environmental documentsReview wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineation reports for accuracy and regulatory complianceReview and support preparation of permit application packages and supplemental environmental documentationEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulationsPermitting & Agency CoordinationCoordinate permitting activities with federal and state regulatory agencies including:U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB)Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB)California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW)Support permitting strategies and provide technical recommendations based on project requirements and wetland scienceAssist in permit negotiations and regulatory communicationsWetlands & Water Resources SupportSupport wetland delineation review and jurisdictional assessmentsProvide guidance related to:Clean Water Act Sections 404 & 401Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control ActCalifornia Fish and Game Code Section 1600Assist with wetland science evaluations and environmental impact considerationsProject Coordination & Administrative SupportCoordinate with:Environmental planning teamsBiology and execution sectionsConstruction contractorsInternal line-operation groupsOn-call environmental consultantsTrack environmental projects, schedules, and permit statusesMaintain environmental data and project documentationSupport reporting and project communication activitiesRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Planning, Water Resources, Geology, or related fieldRequired ExperienceMinimum 3 years of Water Quality compliance experienceMinimum 3 years of regulatory permitting and negotiation experience in CaliforniaMinimum 2 years of wetlands and jurisdictional waters delineation experienceCompletion of a 40-hour Wetland Delineation training/courseMinimum 2 years of project planning and resource coordination experienceExperience working with:ArcGISGoogle EarthMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPointAdobe AcrobatGeospatial systems/toolsRegulatory Knowledge RequiredStrong working knowledge of:Clean Water Act (Sections 404 & 401)Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control ActCalifornia Fish & Game Code Section 1600Wetlands permitting and environmental compliance processesPreferred Qualifications5+ years of Water Quality compliance experience5+ years of California environmental permitting and agency negotiation experience3+ years of wetlands delineation experienceExperience conducting Wetlands Delineation in the Arid SouthwestUtility, infrastructure, or energy industry experience preferredStrong analytical and technical writing skillsDesired Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsEffective negotiation and influencing abilitiesExcellent project planning and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and collaboration mindsetCritical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to environmental compliance and workplace safetyAbility to work independently in a remote environmentAbout Trident ConsultingTrident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
