Commissions Clerk
Commissions ClerkThe Commissions Clerk will work with the Sales Team, Accounts Receivable Team, and Finance Team. The Commission Clerk assists with data processing, which could include interpreting gathered data, reconciling accounts, establishing new processes, and creating commission statements as well as other accounting data. The Commission analyst may perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounting.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccurately enter commission-related data into the organization's financial systems, ensuring timely and precise recordsAssist with the calculation of commissions, verifying accuracy and addressing any discrepancies or inquiries from the sales teamGenerate regular reports on commission payments, sales performance, and other relevant data to support decision-making and forecastingInvestigate and resolve commission-related disputes or discrepancies, working with sales representatives, managers, and other stakeholders as neededEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to commission plans and paymentsMaintain and update commission-related information in the organization's financial systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of dataBack-up other team members when necessaryPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and AbilitiesFoundational knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles, with 13 years of experience in commissions processing, accounting, or a related functionAssociate degree in Accounting or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing business needsDemonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervisionEffective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leadership, clients, and external vendorsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and general computer literacyHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and implement solutionsAbility to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, and basic data analysisAbility to read, analyze, and interpret financial and business documents, and to prepare clear and concise written communicationsStrong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to a variety of audiences across different levels of the organizationAbility to interpret and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formatsCapable of working through ambiguity and solving practical problems in environments with limited standardizationAbility to remain composed and professional in high-pressure or time-sensitive situationsMittera is a leading-edge company that provides commercial and digital printing, finishing, graphic design, data analytics, direct mail processing, and fulfillment services.
