PT Nursing Assistant Instructor
Part-time CNA faculty instructor is under the immediate direction and supervision of the CNA Coordinator and Director of Nursing Programs. Certified Nursing Assistant faculty are accountable for high quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the College. These persons will instruct nursing assistant students in classroom, lab and clinical settings and ensure that all training and skill activities adhere to the NC Division of Health Service Regulation guidelines.The Instructor's work schedule may include days, evenings and/or weekends.The successful candidate must possess the following: (Show these and related qualifications on application)BSN, and/or diploma RN; minimum two years of direct patient care as RN; active and current unencumbered NC registered nurse license;Experience teaching adults or supervising nursing assistants.Applicants must organize all documentation required by a NC State approved Nurse Aide Training ProgramEffective working knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, internet and e-mail servicesAbility to deal tactfully and courteously with members of the Board of Trustees, college staff, students, and with the general publicEffective discretion in the handling of confidential information and sensitive materialsExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skillsEffective written and oral communication skillsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with diverse student populationOne Year experience in a long-term care facility or in providing care for the chronically ill and familiarity with local health care facilities.
