Diesel Mechanic

Dynamic Transit is seeking a career-minded Diesel Mechanic to work in our Hazelwood shop. This person would be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of a fleet of 389 and 386 Peterbilts. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on X15 engines, clutches, transmissions, air conditioning and electrical systems, brake systems, and APUs Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems Work in a safe and professional manner Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas QUALIFICATIONS: Must have own tools Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship Reliable and self-motivated Technical problem-solving skills Experience with engine replacements is preferred but not required. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for duration of a work shift) High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired.
