Reporting to the VP, Operational Excellence, this position is instrumental in shaping a culture of innovation and continuous improvement—bringing ideas to life through scalable process enhancements, streamlined workflows, and the successful adoption of technology solutions.In this role, you will turn strategy into action, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, redesigning processes for greater effectiveness, and partnering with teams to deliver meaningful, measurable results. You’ll play a hands-on role in driving change, influencing stakeholders, and embedding best practices that enhance how work gets done.Leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies, the Senior Project Manager, Operational Excellence will lead initiatives that improve quality, reduce complexity, and optimize performance across commercial insurance operations, making a tangible impact on both the employee and customer experience.Primary ResponsibilitiesExecutes cross-functional initiatives across all areas of the company, with specific emphasis on the key business functions of Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control, Premium Audit, IT, and Billing. Develops detailed project plans, tracks progress, manages timelines, and ensures initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with defined business objectives.Conducts in-depth analysis of existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and manual processes. Implements practical, scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.Identifies, recommends, and helps implement new procedures, technologies, workflows, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.Partners with IT and business teams to ensure new tools, automation, and workflows are effectively integrated into day-to-day operations.Works closely with functional teams to translate strategic priorities into clear, executable actions. Supports coordination across departments to ensure consistent execution. Designs and facilitates high-energy design-thinking workshops to solve friction points and create efficiencies.Partners to build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators. Ensures data is accurate, actionable, and supports ongoing operational decision-making.Builds and maintains knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, and applies relevant insights to improve processes and operational efficiency.Supports the execution of operational excellence roadmap by prioritizing initiatives, tracking deliverables, and ensuring consistent follow-through on improvement efforts.In conjunction with department leadership, drives change management efforts to ensure sustainable adoption of new processes and tools.Provides guidance and practical support to team members involved in process improvement initiatives.
