This organization is focused on innovation, advanced manufacturing, and energy-efficient solutions that contribute to reducing environmental impact.As part of this continued growth, the company is seeking a Materials Supervisor – 2nd Shift to support manufacturing operations and lead material flow activities across the production floor.Position OverviewThe Materials Supervisor – 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing material flow operations to ensure uninterrupted support for manufacturing activities. This role will coordinate inventory movement, replenishment, and production material handling processes while driving operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.The ideal candidate will lead a team of material handlers and collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Receiving, and Inventory teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise second shift material handling and production support activitiesEnsure timely delivery of materials to production lines and staging areasMonitor replenishment processes to prevent shortages and production interruptionsCoordinate daily priorities with Production, Planning, Receiving, and Inventory teamsEnsure FIFO processes are consistently followed within warehouse and production staging areasSupport inventory accuracy through proper scanning, transactions, and material movements within ERP/WMS systemsEnforce material handling safety procedures and warehouse operational standardsSupport cycle counts, inventory investigations, and root cause analysis for discrepanciesMaintain organization and cleanliness across warehouse, supermarket, and lineside areasDrive process discipline for material movement, replenishment, and production support activitiesSupervise, train, coach, and develop material handling team membersManage shift staffing, scheduling, and cross-training initiativesTrack and report KPIs related to shortages, inventory accuracy, productivity, and material flow performanceIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support operational efficiencyPromote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, materials, or logistics operationsStrong knowledge of material flow processes, inventory control, and ERP/WMS systemsExperience supporting production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and inventory control practices such as FIFO, Kanban, replenishment systems, and cycle countsExperience with barcoding, RF scanners, labeling systems, and inventory transactionsStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsForklift certification or related experience preferredProficiency in Excel and reporting tools, including dashboards and KPI trackingAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-growth manufacturing environmenthc245779
