Job SummaryWe are seeking an Instructor to deliver virtual learning courses in Data Analysis. As part of our digital engineering strategy, we require training for our workforce in data analytics using the Python coding and computing environment.DutiesThe Instructor will deliver interactive training courses focused on developing skills in programming, accessing tools, documenting and automating analytical processes, manipulating large datasets, handling tabular datasets, and utilizing aggregation and reorganization capabilities for data exploration. The role involves accessing data from multiple sources, interfacing with databases, and teaching the use of Python for data analysis, modeling, and exploration. Each training session will accommodate up to 20 participants and will include all necessary training materials provided at least 5 business days prior to the session.ResponsibilitiesConduct virtual training sessions in Python for Data Analysis to employees at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in West Bethesda, Maryland.Ensure comprehensive coverage of topics over a minimum of 4 days, addressing participant questions and concerns effectively.Provide all course materials to participants before the commencement of each session.Submit a roster sheet upon completion of each course to document attendance.RequirementsExperience using Python for data science processes, including controlling and documenting data workflows.Proficiency in accessing and preparing data, performing numerical analysis, and visualizing data using NumPy arrays, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.Competence in data exploration techniques with Pandas and machine learning concepts using Scikit-learn.Ability to deliver virtual training sessions effectively, outlining the format and interaction methods clearly.Employment Type: Part-Time
