Phlebotomist

Job Title: Phlebotomist Location: Detroit, MI 48202 Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension) Schedule Notes: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. Mon - Fri, No holidays Job Summary: · Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions. Education: · High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Required Certification & Licensure: · Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and the ability to be insured by a HFMG Insurance Carrier. Skills: 6 months to one year on the job experience in venipuncture required. Schedule: · In-person interview (30 minutes) · Responsibilities include: o Drawing blood o Rounding and transporting items from clinic to main lab o Handling 20–25 tubes per session · Minimum Experience: 5+ years preferred · Must have experience with straight needles
