A Matre d' for Sushi by Bou takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.
A Matre d' for Sushi by Bou oversees the daily front-of-house operations for Sushi by Bou, ensuring a seamless, elevated, and guest-focused dining experience. This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests, managing reservations, pacing of service, and overall dining room flow while upholding the highest standards of hospitality.
Required Skills and Abilities
Must have the ability to communicate in English
Self-starting personality with an even disposition
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
Can communicate well with guests
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting including working evenings, weekends and holiday availability
Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, prolonged standing and walking or otherwise, move or push goods on a cart weighing a maximum of 100 lbs., at a continuous schedule
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 50lbs.
Experience
Previous experience required including cash handling and customer service
Experience in hospitality a plus
Licenses or Certificates
Ability to obtain both Maricopa Health Card (Food Handlers Card) and Alcohol Certificate - required
