This role reports directly to the CEO and will own the entire accounting and finance functions for the company. To be considered, a prior background in construction accounting or a related field is required. This role is 100% on-site. What You’ll OwnFull accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, GLMonthly/annual close and financial reportingJob costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accountingCash flow, working capital, and banking relationshipsBonding/surety relationships and financial reporting to support projectsFederal contract compliance (certified payroll, prevailing wage)Building and leading a small internal finance teamUpgrading systems, processes, and controlsPosition RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles (Controller, Director, etc.)5–10+ years of experience within construction, mechanical contracting, or a related trades-based industryStrong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accountingExperience managing bonding/surety and banking relationshipsFamiliarity with federal contracting requirements, including certified payroll and complianceExperience with construction accounting systems (e.g., Deltek, Sage, Viewpoint, ComputerEase are preferred)Proven ability to lead teams and operate both strategically and hands-on
