In this contract position, you'll float between PreK-12th grade schools, stepping into a vital role as a health room nurse, covering various sites, field trips, and dynamic daily needs. This highly independent role has an immediate start and continues through June, with full-time hours during the school year and summer session.Key Experience and Skills:Active and unencumbered Missouri RN or LPN license (confirmed via Nursys)Recent pediatric experience – ideally in ICU, ER, or previous school settings (new grads not eligible)Ability to adapt quickly to shifting schedules, sites, and last-minute changesStrong multitasking skills and proficiency with electronic chartingComfortable working independently, often as the sole nurse in a school's health roomExcellent communicator, able to coordinate with staff and handle schedule changes, sometimes with limited noticeFlexible mindset and willingness to engage with students from preschool to high schoolRole Responsibilities:Deliver care to students as a float nurse, sometimes across multiple sites and on field tripsTrain with a mentor for two weeks before managing a health room independentlyRespond to health concerns, administer medication, and provide first aid and emergency assistanceDocument all care provided using computer-based charting systemsSupport special health needs, communicate with school staff and families as neededAdapt to a fluctuating Monday through Thursday schedule, with weekly assignments and the potential for same-day adjustmentsReady to step into a rewarding role making a difference in students' lives?
