Mechanical CAD Designer – Conveyors (Autodesk Inventor / Vault)

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer with experience in conveyor systems and industrial equipment design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and managing design documentation through Autodesk Vault.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings for conveyor systems and related mechanical equipmentDevelop layouts, component designs, and production-ready drawings based on engineering requirementsMaintain and manage CAD files, revisions, and documentation using Autodesk VaultCollaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to support project executionEnsure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standardsSupport design reviews, prototype updates, and engineering change requestsPrepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentationAssist with troubleshooting and design improvements for existing systemsRequired QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field3+ years of experience in mechanical CAD designStrong proficiency with Autodesk InventorExperience using Autodesk Vault for file and revision managementExperience designing conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or industrial machineryAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of mechanical fabrication and manufacturing processesPreferred QualificationsExperience with sheet metal, structural steel, and weldment designKnowledge of conveyor components, motors, bearings, and material flow systemsFamiliarity with ERP/PDM systemsStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork EnvironmentManufacturing and engineering environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
