Senior Construction Estimator
Essential Functions:Build and maintain client relationshipsDevelop complex conceptual estimates, bids and pricing analysis for proposed projectsPerform detailed quantity take-offsMaintain bid log of documents, preparing detailed sub-contractor scope of work, and extensive follow-up (bid administration)Prepare time, cost and labor estimates for construction projects by analyzing project drawings, specifications and RFPsDevelop subcontractor relationships and solicit bidsEvaluate bid specifications and drawingsConduct site surveysDevelop budgets and RFIsMaintain subcontractor qualified bidders listEngage with marketing department and other internal teams during the proposal/bidding process by reviewing RFPs and bid documents and estimating project costsCommunicate with owners, architects, engineers, and project teamMaintain up-to-date expertise in systems, procedures, means and methods, computer programs, management techniques, code changes, etc.Conduct research on latest construction materials, pricing, and trendsQualified Candidates will possess the following:BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Management recommended 10+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects required Extensive Knowledge of material and labor pricing, market conditions, and individual trade costsUnderstanding of CM/architect/client dynamicsComfort navigating fee strategy, leveraging buyout opportunities, negotiating, and managing riskStrong ability to analyze project drawings, specifications and RFPsProven ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline environmentPreferred Candidates will also possess the following skills:Graduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus!Mastery with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, & Microsoft Office software (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, etc.)High mastery in navigating and leading turnover meetings, close out reviews, and cost analysesStrong Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical experience preferred.Physical Job Demands & Working Conditions This is a full-time role based in Austin, TX.Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
