Powder Coating Technician

Are you an experienced Powder Coater looking for a new full-time, permanent opportunity? Aleron is hiring for our client in Lake Zurich, IL. What you'll do:  Responsible for a full range of specialized painting projects per customer and/or management request.  Prepare and powder a variety of surfaces, including steel, aluminum, other shop-coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories, and other specified surfaces.  Apply protective powder coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork.  Maintain equipment (preventative maintenance) and work in a safe manner.  Responsible for the storage and proper disposal of paint products.  Operate various tools and equipment necessary for powder coating.  Maintain and assist with the overall cleanliness of the production area, including mopping floors, trash cleanup, scrap material preparation, taking out garbage, and ensuring a safe work environment.  Assist in the unloading of trucks, including boxes and light poles that require team lifting.  Perform other duties as assigned. · Minimum of 5 years' experience in powder coating.
