If you are passionate about heart health and patient care, then this is the Registered Nurse opporunity for you.The Registered Nurse Clinic In CardiologyAssists provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessaryDemonstrates the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applicationsReceives and handles telephone calls to departmentAdministers and maintains current medicationsConsistently effective and uses good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needsEnsures appropriate and adequate supplies are on handAppropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their familiesProvides patient and family education appropriatelyStrictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautionsEnsures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patientsProtect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical recordsMay draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGsAssists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.Job RequirementsGraduate of accredited school of nursingADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply proper procedures to Beloit Health System policies.Employee possesses the training, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform the following activities (evaluation, treatment, and patient care) for patients in one or more of the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.Successful completion of pre-placement physical examination.Involves physical effort that includes full range of body motion which includes standing, walking for extensive periods of time.
