At GA Telesis, our core business is integrated aviation solutions, and our mission is customer successWe are seeking a qualified Aviation NDT Inspector Level I specializing at our Landing Gear Services facility in Medley, Florida, to perform non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft components. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of aircraft landing gear by using approved NDT methods. The NDT Inspector Level I is responsible for ensuring that inspections are performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, NDT Manual of GA Telesis requirements, as applicable. 2nd Shift Hours are 2:00PM-10:30PM, Mon-Fri.Important Notice: Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.Responsibilities:Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection and establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulationsApply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate resultsCommunication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skillsConduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examinationHave a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employerPerform Quality Control Inspections as required and record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and proceduresAnalytical skills: must be able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solvingVerify that routine inspections and checks the NDI equipment are accomplished as per the manufacturer’s instructionsEnsuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids used to perform inspections, are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixedOther duties as instructedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma/GEDQuality inspection, aerospace, aircraft inspection, NDT, Ultrasonic, NDT Level 1Preferred experience can include aerospace, manufacturing, quality inspection, or aviation maintenance backgroundsBasic understanding of NDT methods such as PT and MT preferredAbility to work under the supervision of Level II or Level III inspectorsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and specificationsGood communication and documentation skillsLanding gear inspection experience is a plusCheck out how GA Telesis is "Intelligently Defining the FUTURE of Aviation and Aerospace" by following us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook!
