Pharmacy Technician13 Weeks contract4, 10 hour shiftsUnder the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medications. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. As a systems coordinator assists with database management and some key elements of pharmacy computer system infrastructure.What You'll Do:Inputs patient data into computer.Orders drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.Controls stock (except Schedule II, III, IV drugs); prepackages drugs; prepares stock solutions and written formulas; receives, signs, and stores stock items. Ensures that all are checked by the pharmacist.Helps maintain orderly, clean environment in the department, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.Completes requisitions, maintains files for prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, etc.Receives, inspects and verifies credit returns.Removes or recommends removal of slow, unneeded or outdates drugs from stock; prepares for return or disposal.Stocks Pyxis, emergency boxes and crash carts under pharmacist supervision.Process employee prescriptions under supervision of Pharmacist.Who You Are:Detail-oriented and thoroughCollaborative team playerExcellent communication skillsOrganizedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.State of California Certified Pharmacy Technician required.The foregoing description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and efforts or work conditions associated with the job. All apartments are furnished with living area furniture and counter stools. There is wi-fi and cable throughout the apartments. Amenities at the apartments: pool, ping-pong, or foosball in our great common area, hang out on couches next to the fireplace, or use state-of-the-art equipment in our weight room.
