Overnight Youth Counselor - Bilingual Preferred

Description The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being.
We are currently seeking Overnight Youth Counselors (bilingual preferred) to work in our Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program. Duties include but are not limited to, general child-caring responsibilities for daily living in the UC Program, including recreation, light housekeeping, personal care, meal time, community and school activities.
Available Schedules:
Team 1 - Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday 10pm-8am
Team 2 - Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday 10pm-8am

Qualifications MINIMUM:
High school diploma or equivalent degree
Valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record as determined by the Agency
Minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
Proficient in computer and documentation skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish
PREFERRED:
Related education and experience are preferred
Strong personal interested in a variety of life activities
Related skills, training, or certificates
