Systems Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. If you enjoy working on a highly collaborative and dynamic team and want to make a difference for the warfighter, then we would love to have you on our team!Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToPerforms a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problemsTasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problemsApplies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planningDirects and assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problemsExpert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilitiesMinimum QualificationsBA/BS degree or High School Diploma and 6 years of additional relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree5+ years of relevant experienceExperience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular fieldExperience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and cachingExperience with Git or other version-control softwarePreferred QualificationsMasters DegreeFamiliarity with programming languages e.g., Python, Java, C++ and scripting languages e.g., Bash and PowerShellExperience supporting government programsExperience with IT systems and cloud-based technologiesOne or more of the following IAM II certifications: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certified Info.
