Advanced Practice Provider - NeurologyThe employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Neurology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The employee will have successfully completed a Master's degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke's Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role.Neurology disease processes the APP will be expected to accurately diagnose and treat include general neurology with a focus subspecialized patient populations as indicated.Skills required of this role will include but may not be limited to the following:Utilizes prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal laws and regulationsObtains and documents relevant problem focused or comprehensive history from patient/medical records in a timely mannerCommunicates effectively using appropriate terminology, format, and technology in accordance health system policiesAnalyzes data to determine health statusCommunicates effectively with other healthcare professionalsPerforms an accurate physical examDemonstrates basic science and up to date clinical knowledgeEstablishes a patient relationship characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and collaborationTakes initiative for seeking opportunities to advance knowledge and experiencesFlexibility with scheduled rotations / locations as needed to ensure patient needs are metRole duties may include but are not limited to:Completion of admissions, consultations, subsequent day visits and discharges in the inpatient settingIndependent practice in the outpatient clinic and/or inpatient setting and collaborating with physician(s) as appropriateOrdering and management of appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studiesThis role may require training and competency for procedures applicable to the department of hire.Applicable Experience:1 year Advanced Practice Provider (KS) - Various, Advanced Practice Provider (MO) - Various Master's DegreeFull Time Day (United States of America)The best place to get care.
