Job DescriptionJob Family:SAAS/PAAS/Cloud ConsultingTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:We are seeking a Junior Power Platform Developer to support CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) programs.This role is focused on Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate delivery and requires deep, hands-on experience building workflow-intensive, user-facing applications in sensitive federal environments.The position supports CDC operational systems where workflow accuracy, usability, and reliability are critical. Successful candidates will demonstrate with sufficient experience and strong practical experience designing workflows and polished user interfaces in Power Platform.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and support complex Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) used for operational and program management workflowsDevelop and maintain Power Automate workflows including multi-step approvals, routing logic, notifications, and exception handlingEnsure workflows operate correctly in high-sensitivity client environments, where errors pose delivery and compliance riskDesign clean, intuitive UI/UX that enables adoption by non-technical federal usersBuild applications that centralize program data, support historical records, and enable operational visibilityApply role-based access controls (RBAC) and security best practices in federal client environmentsCollaborate closely with stakeholders and account teams to refine requirements and iterate solutionsSupport deployment, user onboarding, and iterative enhancementsWhat You Will Need:Minimum of THREE (3) years of experience delivering Power Platform, Power Apps and Power Automate solutionsMust be able to obtain and maintain a "Public Trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active Public Trust or suitability are preferred.US Citizenship is contractually required for this roleBachelor's Degree is requiredExperience supporting workflow-heavy applications (approvals, routing, tracking)Experience modernizing manual, document-driven, or E-Mail-based processesExperience working directly with stakeholders in regulated or structured environmentsCandidates must demonstrate current, hands-on experience in all areas below:Microsoft Power Platform (Core)Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven) – building full applications end-to-endPower Automate – designing and supporting complex workflows and approval processesCoding languages: PowerFX, JSON, & TypeScriptDataverse – data modeling, relationships, and security rolesWorkflow Engineering (Critical)Proven experience designing mission-critical workflows within Power PlatformStrong understanding of workflow dependencies, error handling, and lifecycle trackingAbility to replace manual or ad-hoc processes with reliable automated solutionsUI / UX Design (Critical)Demonstrated ability to build polished, user-friendly Power AppsStrong attention to layout, usability, navigation, and End-user experienceAbility to deliver applications that are production-ready and client-facing, not prototypesDocumenting visual designs using iterative agile approachesDisplaying Mock-Ups and/or WireframesReal-Time changes to forms accommodating user requests and/or changesExperience performing product demos with stakeholdersWhat Would Be Nice to Have:Prior Federal Civilian agency experienceMicrosoft Power PlatformMicrosoft Power Apps using PCF-Control a plusAzure Infrastructure and/or Architecture knowledge a plusApplication Lifecycle Management (ALM) UnderstandingAgile Product Development and/or Iterative Sprint DeliveryAzure DEVops PlatformGIT Repo and Source ControlAPI's & Third-Party IntegrationsExperience supporting users in high-sensitivity or compliance-driven environmentsExisting or prior federal clearance (preferred, not required)The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00.
