We are seeking a hands-on *Robotics Engineer* to own the electrical systems of an autonomous field robot used in utility-scale solar construction.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Own electrical architecture and electromechanical system integration.
* Design power electronics, BLDC/servo motor control, and sensor systems.
* Develop embedded firmware using *C/C++*.
* Design and work with *CAN bus and real-time control systems*.
* Debug, test, and deploy robotic systems in challenging outdoor environments.
* Take systems from *concept through field deployment and production*.
* Support pilot deployments and travel to field sites, including Texas.
*Requirements*
* 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in *mobile, autonomous, or field robotics*.
* Experience at a robotics company, preferably with outdoor or harsh-environment systems.
* Strong *power electronics, motor control, CAN, and C/C++* skills.
* Proven experience taking electromechanical systems from concept to real-world deployment.
* Strong hands-on troubleshooting and end-to-end ownership.
* BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
* Must be willing to work *on-site in San Francisco* and travel to field sites.
Experience with *Tesla Optimus, Amazon Robotics, Zipline, Apptronik*, or early-stage robotics startups is a plus.
Pay: From $180,000.00 per year
